The digestive system

The digestive system is responsible for breaking down food, absorbing nutrients from the food, and ridding the body of waste products from the food. The digestive system consists of the:

  • Upper digestive tract, which includes the mouth, esophagus, stomach, and small intestine.
  • Lower digestive tract, which includes the large intestine and the rectum.
  • Liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Welcome Dr. Andrea Habel

On August 24th, 2021, Andrea (Annie) Habel, MD joined our practice! Annie spent time with us and our patients last August as a Resident and we are happy to announce that she has decided to start her career with us! She graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine (WWAMI Program) and completed her residency at the University of Colorado Swedish Family Medicine in Denver.
